Pentax waited until 1982 to release this, their first autofocus 35mm point-and-shoot, and it's a winner. The PC35-AF is beautifully designed camera with an excellent 35mm f2.8 lens (5 elements in 5 groups). It's tied with the original Nikon One Touch and Action Touch as our all-time favorite point-and-shoot. The combination of a smooth manual advance and manual rewind with a sophisticated electronic shutter allowed the camera to be more compact than most of its rivals and have very good battery life (despite using AAAs). The included (and quite hard-to-find) PC35-Winder can attach to the side for a different, more rapid shooting experience.

Really the only gripe we could imagine anyone having with this camera is that it makes a warning beep when the light is low (to warn that you ought to use flash); that's a good feature for most people (prevents blurry shots) but some advanced shooters might find it annoying.

The camera requires two AAA batteries for power (not included). The PC-Winder also requires two AAA batteries (not included). The camera's original manual and a non-original but high quality case are included.

Condition notes
We film tested this camera and all the photos were correctly exposed and perfectly focused. Both the camera and accessory winder are in very good aesthetic condition as well (see photos).
