Pentax K1000 with SMC Pentax-M 50mm F1.4 lens w/ ever-ready case (serial 8023813)

This is a film-tested and perfectly working example of the venerable Pentax K1000 35mm SLR film camera with a very fast and sharp SMC Pentax-M 50mm F1.4 lens. It's difficult to tell its county of manufacture by serial number alone but the all-metal construction and Asahi Opt. Co. stamp indicate it was either made in Japan or Hong Kong. The camera only requires a single LR44 or 357 battery for its light meter (optional).

An ever-ready case and the original manual in French are also included.

Note: the K-1000's light-meter switches on if light is detected so use the lens cap (included, attached to the strap) to preserve battery life. If you remember to do this, the battery can last for years. 

Condition notes
The camera and lens (SMC Pentax-M 50mm F1.4) were tested with film and performed superbly, delivering sharp, well-exposed images. The light meter is responsive and accurate. In addition, we verified that the camera's shutter is accurate both in terms of speed and curtain symmetry through the speed range. The camera and lens are in very good cosmetic condition (see photos).
