The Olympus Trip MD is a very easy-to-use focus-free 35mm camera from the mid-1980s. A red light in the viewfinder tells you the light is too low and you should use the pop-up flash.

Here's how it was described in catalogs when new:

The Olympus Trip MD is the latest addition to the Trip family of 35mm compacts.
The camera features motor drive for easier film loading and transport, say Olympus. It also has auto exposure with a low light warning, built-in flash, and fixed focus. Olympus feel the design will appeal to the more fashion conscious, younger purchaser.

Here's a hack for more advanced shooters who want more creative control: you can use the film speed setting as a manual aperture control (IS0 100 = F4; ISO 200 = ~ F5.6; ISO 400 = ~ F8; and ISO 1000 = ~ F11). The shutter speed is fixed at 1/100.

Battery info

The camera requires two AA batteries (not included).

Condition notes

The camera is in very good condition with some cosmetic wear on its body (see photos). We tested them with batteries and film installed (the film was not developed) and everything is working correctly.
