The Olympus OM-1 is the quintessential compact mechanical 35mm SLR of the 1970s. It was the model favored by Jane Bown, David Bailey and countless other artists.
This is a clean example (serial number 356498) of the early version (non-MD) in the less common 'pro' black job, complete with a nice F. Zuiko Auto-S 50mm f1.8 prime lens and the original neck strap and leatherette 'ever-ready' case. We film tested this and it delivered excellent photos with accurate metering--it was a pleasure to use.
The light meter originally used the non-banned PX625 lithium battery but a common 675 zinc air battery is a very good alternative (one is included; a spare is available as an option).
Condition notes The camera and lens were tested with film and delivered sharp, well-exposed photos. The only noteworthy flaw is the presence of some black spots at the bottom of the viewfinder display; do not affect the ability to focus. A removable 'Shoe-1' hot-shoe is included but has some cracks (a very common issue) so we advise against using it with very heavy flashes. See photos for overall cosmetic condition. The included Olympus Zuiko 50mm f1.8 lens and the original 'ever-ready' case are also in very good condition.
