Minolta Riva Zoom 125 compact 35mm camera w/ case (serial 40017014)
The circa-2000 Minolta Riva Zoom 125 Date is very compact and high quality 35mm point-and-shoot. This camera was sold as the Freedom Zoom 125 and Capios 125S in some markets.
This is one of the later Minolta cameras, produced shortly before the company's merger with Konica. It's sophisticated both in terms of photographic quality (it features a very sharp 6 element 37.5-125mm zoom lens with a 60cm minimum focus distance) and features (it has a door lock that prevents accidentally ruining your film until it been safely rewound).
A Minolta case is included.
Battery info
This camera requires a CR123 battery (available as an option).
Condition notes
The camera's functions were tested a battery and a roll of film (the film was not developed). All modes are working correctly. In addition, we verified the camera's film plane focus and autoexposure accuracy (both were excellent). The camera is in very good cosmetic condition (see photos).
One very minor flaw we discovered in our thorough testing is that the built-in lens dust cover doesn't close very tightly (we included a photo showing how it opens slightly when you hold the camera upside down). If you make a habit of being upside down (maybe you're a pole vaulter?), storing storing the camera in its case will prevent the lens from gathering dust.
