Minolta Dynax 8000i 35mm SLR set w/ 28mm f2.8 lens (viewfinder LCD issue; otherwise OK)
Minolta Dynax 8000i 35mm SLR set w/ 28mm f2.8 lens (viewfinder LCD issue; otherwise OK)
Note: There is a bit of 'bleed' in the viewfinder status LCD (which shows shutter speed, aperture, etc.) which makes it a bit difficult to read (see photo). The same information is displayed on the screen on the top of the camera but this still might be an annoyance for advanced users who need to switch settings without taking their eyes off the subject. We discounted this camera to reflect this.
The Minolta Dynax 8000i (aka Maxxum 8000i) is animpressively designed high-end 35mm SLR from 1990. It's basically a refined version of the earlier 7000i with a higher maximum shutter speed, faster flash sync speed, and some professional-oriented features (e.g. easily accessible multi-exposure mode and a metal PC port for studio strobes). The included lens is a sharp Minolta Maxxum 28mm f2.8 wide-angle (5 elements in 5 groups).
The 8000i requires a 2CR5 battery (available as an option).
Condition notes
This camera and lens are in very good cosmetic condition (see photos) and in excellent working order (except for the viewfinder LCD 'bleed' mentioned earlier). We tested the autoexposure and shutter and they're working with very good accuracy (the shutter does test a bit slow at speeds of 1/2000 and higher).
