Minolta Dynax 3000i 35mm SLR w/ Minolta AF 50mm f1.7 lens + Program D 314i flash (serial 62301669))
If you're looking for point-and-shoot ease of use combined with the quality, flexibility, and high percentage of 'keeper' photos (film isn't free!) that you get with an SLR, the Dynax 3000i might be a good choice. The camera (also known as the Dynax 3000i) is an incredibly simple-to-use 35mm film SLR camera from the early 90s. It includes the classic Minolta Maxxum AF 50mm f1.7 lens. A Minolta Maxxum D314 i flash is also included.
This is an "auto everything" camera: you just need to frame the shot and push the shutter button and you'll get a sharp well-exposed image. It is, without a doubt, the easiest-to-use film SLR we have ever tested. The camera and lens combo does allow for manual focus use if desired. The camera uses a beeping sound to confirm focus (this cannot be switched off).
The 3000i is also a good choice as a film camera for anyone who uses a Sony Alpha-series digital SLR with A-mount lenses (the lenses are compatible).
Battery info
The camera requires a 2CR5 lithium battery (optional). The flash doesn't require an extra battery (it draws power from the camera's battery).
Battery Performance (at 20ºC according to Minolta):
The 6-volt 2C5 lithium battery should provide sufficient power for shooting up to 40 rolls of 24-exposure film without flash, and up to 20 rolls of 24-exposure film using flash D-314i on 50% of the exposures.
Example photos
Here are some pictures that other people have taken with the 3000i (please see the descriptions, the lenses used may be different for a given photo): https://www.lomography.com/cameras/3320996-minolta-dynax-3000i/photos
And here are photos taken with the Maxxum AF 50mm f1.7 lens using a variety of cameras (see descriptions): https://www.lomography.com/lenses/201-minolta-af-50-mm-f-1-7/photos
Condition notes
The camera was tested with a shutter analyzer and all shutter shutter speeds are working with very good accuracy and shutter curtain symmetry (an important factor for even exposure). The camera was tested with a battery and film installed (the film was not developed however) and all functions are working correctly. The camera and lens are in good cosmetic condition (see photos).
