- DX code reading for automatically setting film speed
Battery information
This camera requires two AA batteries (not included)
Condition notes
We tested this camera with batteries and film installed (we did not process the film). All functions are working correctly. The camera is in overall good condition with some cosmetic wear and signs of aging, most notably some discolored glue on the perimeter of the flash (see photos); this doesn't affect the camera's functionality.

Here are some photos that other people have taken with the very closely related Konica Pop BF-8T (it has the same lens but omits some features of the BF-88 such as red-eye reducing flash and automatic film speed detection): https://www.lomography.com/cameras/3362528-konica-pop-bf-8t/photos?order=trending
