Kodak UltraMax 400 Color Negative Film 3-Pack (35mm, 36-exp, ISO 400, 3 rolls)
Kodak UltraMax 400 Color Negative Film 3-Pack (35mm, 36-exp, ISO 400, 3 rolls)
Kodak UltraMax 400 is our recommended general purpose colour film for most people. It's an ideal film when using a zoom or telephoto lens (including zoom point-and-shoot cameras).
People often ask for help deciding between UltraMax 400 and its sibling, Gold 200. They are both great general purpose films. Gold 200 is one stop less sensitive (thus better suited for full sun situations like beaches and ski hills), it has a subtle warm tone and slightly finer grain (given equivalent light). UltraMax 400 is more sensitive (thus better suited for lower light), it has more saturated colours and slightly more grain (in equivalent lighting situations). You can't really go wrong with either film but one might be a better match for a given camera, particular subjects, or your personal taste.

Here's how it's described in Kodak literature:
KODAK ULTRAMAX 400 Film is a worry-free, easy-to-use high speed film designed for snapshooters. ULTRAMAX 400 Film gives you the flexibility you need to take consistently better pictures in more picture taking situations—better low-light picture quality with fewer underexposures, better results with zoom lenses, greater flash range, better "stop-action" photos, and reduced impact of camera shake.. It also features wide exposure latitude—from two stops underexposure to three stops overexposure.
