The Hanimex MXL 311 Loadmatic is a solidly built vintage Super 8 movie camera which features a very fast and sharp 9-28mm f1.1 zoom lens. This camera is an excellent choice for low/available light shooting. It's a very solidly made all-metal camera. 

In testing, we found that critical focusing can be a bit tricky to get perfectly by eye with this model ; this is generally no problem when shooting in bright light (where the depth of field is wider) but for important shots in lower light we would recommend verifying your subject's distance with the feet/meter marking on the focus ring. 

Condition notes
The camera was tested with a film cartridge (though the film was not developed), the film transport is working smoothly at all three speeds and the light meter is functioning correctly. Film plane focus accuracy was verified using a profession auto-collimator. Requires 4xAA batteries (not included) to power the camera and a 675 zinc air cell to power the light meter (included).
