The Canon Sure Shot Owl PF Date (called the Prima AF-9S in some countries) is a well-designed turn-of-the-millennium compact autofocus 35mm camera with a nice, sharp fixed 35mm f/3.8 lens. This camera requires two ordinary AA batteries (not included). In addition, the optional date imprinting function uses a CR2025 button battery (not included).
Here's the description from the Canon Museum: "While having a single focal length lens, this member of the esteemed Big Finder (BF) series of AF compact cameras has a large viewfinder and is easy to operate.
All the elements in the bright 35mm f/3.8 lens are molded glass (GMo). The built-in flash is powerful, covering out to ten meters. The large viewfinder is easy to use, and an oversized shutter button and other controls result is a very easy-to-use camera.
Condition notes All camera features (except the date mode) were tested with a battery and film installed (the film was not developed) and is working great. There are some minor scuffs on the camera body (see photos) but this does not affect performance. The optional date imprinting mode requires a CR2025 lithium button cell (not included).
