Canon EOS Rebel 35mm film SLR w/ Canon EF 28-80mm lens

Note: The included Canon EF 28-80mm lens has a couple of small chips on its bayonet base and its autofocus motor is a bit noisy. This did not affect its connection or functionality in our testing but we discounted the camera to account for the blemishes and nuisance of noisy focusing. 

"Image is everything" said a radically coiffed Andre Agassi in his famous EOS Rebel TV ad. First released in 1990, the EOS Rebel (also called the EOS 1000) was a massive seller for Canon. The Rebel featured more refined controls and ergonomics compared to the earlier EOS models. It proved to be an influential design; later Canon SLRs and DSLRs would look and feel very similar. 

Here's how it was described in the Canon Museum:

"Compact and light (500 g with battery). The camera features One-Shot AF and predictive AI Servo AF, shutter speed-priority AE (TTL), aperture-priority AE (TTL), Intelligent program AE, depth-of-field AE, and metered manual. The prewind system is used. Small, compact, affordable, and feature-laden, the camera was a hit product."

This camera requires a 2CR5 lithium battery (available as an option). 

Condition notes

The camera and lens are in good cosmetic condition (see photos) except for the cosmetic chips in the lens mount mentioned earlier (see lens photos). All functions are working correctly. We verified that both the camera's shutter and auto-exposure are working with good accuracy.
