Canon A35F rangefinder 35mm camera with built-in flash w/ case (serial 818578)
The Canon A35F is one of our favourite 35mm rangefinder cameras. It combines the simplicity (auto exposure) and flexibility (built-in flash) of a point-and-shoot with the accurate focusing of a rangefinder. This, in our experience, leads to rolls of film with a higher percentage of good shots. Our only (minor) gripe with the A35F is that it doesn't offer an easy exposure compensation for advanced shooters thus we don't recommend this camera for people who primarily use slide films like Velvia or Ektachrome (narrow exposure latitude).
According to the Canon Museum this camera is identical to the Canon A35 Datelux except for its lack of a date imprinting function.
The camera requires a 675 zinc air battery (optional). In addition, the built-in flash requires a single AA battery (not included)
Condition notes
The camera was tested with film and delivered sharp images. It is in very good cosmetic condition as well. The included case is only in fair condition (the leatherette is dried out and leaves crumbs) but we feel it's still useful for storing and transporting the camera.
