Argus C520 focus free 35mm film camera
Argus C520 focus free 35mm film camera
The Argus C520 is a very simple 35mm point-and-shoot from the late 1980s. It's essentially the same camera as the Concord 806. The C520 uses a fixed-focus design where subjects from approximately 1.5 meters and beyond should be acceptably sharp.
This is a mechanical camera that advances the film by thumb wheel. It also includes a built-in flash (it only fires when you switch it on). To open the film door on this camera, you pull up on the rewind knob.
The camera requires two AA batteries (not included).
For the technically inclined: we measured EV 13 at ISO 100 without flash in an exposure tester. Basically, this means you should use the flash if it's heavily overcast, approaching sunset, or you're indoors. Use the camera without flash if it's sunny with cloud cover or if there's full sun. Color negative film is recommend for this camera.
Condition notes
The camera was tested with batteries and a film roll (the film was not developed). All functions are working correctly. The camera is in good cosmetic condition (see photos) with some wear from use.
