Samsung AF Zoom 105 S 35mm camera w/ case (serial 5D33291)

The Samsung AF Zoom 105S (also sold as the AF Zoom 1050) is an advanced 35mm point-and-shoot from the 1990s. This curiously overlooked gem is one of our favourite cameras from its era. 

The AF 105S features a 38-105mm lens that's exceptionally sharp for a zoom point-and-shoot. It was a fairly expensive camera when new (MSRP was listed as $499USD in Popular Photography) and accordingly has deluxe features like: 48 AF zones; a 40cm 'super macro' mode; multiple exposure capability; automated interval shooting; and support for a very wide range of films (ISO 25-3200). The original case is included. 

Battery information

This camera requires two CR123 batteries (available as an option).

The manual doesn't give a battery life estimate but notes then the battery icon on the LCD changes to show depletion, there should be capacity for about 3 more rolls of film. The manual also notes that cold weather can cause 

The Pentax Zoom 105 (a comparable camera that uses the same batteries) gives an estimated battery life of 30 24-exposure rolls of film if the flash is used 50% of the time. 

Condition Notes

This camera was tested with batteries and a roll of film (the film was not developed). All modes are working correctly. The camera's true film-plane focus accuracy was verified on an auto-collimator and its auto-exposure was tested with a shutter tester and calibrated light source. The camera is in good cosmetic condition (see photos).
