The Praktica LTL 3 is a basic but well-designed East German 35mm SLR camera from the late 1970s. It uses the common M42 lens mount (found in Pentax Spotmatic SLRs and many other types). It includes a Penacon 50mm f1.8 lens.

The LTL 3 has a vertical running focal plane shutter (similar to the Copal Square types used in Konica and Nikkormat cameras) with speeds from bulb to 1/1000 sec. The flash sync speed is 1/125.

This camera's viewfinder is a bit dimmer than contempary Pentax Spotmatics and similar cameras but we didn't have any difficulty focusing.

The camera originally used a PX625 battery for its light-meter but a 675 zinc-air cell makes a good replacement (available as an option).

Condition notes
The camera and lens are in very good cosmetic condition (see photos). Its shutter speeds are light meter are working with good accuracy.
