Pentax PC-550 35mm camera (serial 5620001)

The Pentax PC-550 is a lightweight and simple autofocus 35mm film camera with a 28mm f5 wide-angle lens (3 elements in 3 groups).

Battery information

This camera requires 2 AA alkaline batteries (not included); rechargeable batteries cannot be used. Pentax didn't provide a battery life estimate but comparable models laster about 12 rolls of film per set.

The manual gives this wise advice: "Remove AA batteries from the camera when you do not expect to use it for a long period time."
