Pentax MZ-5N 35mm SLR w/ SMC Pentax-F 28-80mm lens (serial 8759432)
Pentax MZ-5N 35mm SLR w/ SMC Pentax-F 28-80mm lens (serial 8759432)
The 1997 Pentax MZ-5N was the mid-range model in the company's final series of autofocus 35mm SLRs. This compact, lightweight camera has a logical control layout that makes it a pleasure to use and is very well-equipped with advanced features (including a handy depth of field preview button--a rare feature in 90s SLRs).
The included SMC Pentax-F 28-80mm f4-5.6 is a very versatile and lightweight zoom.
This camera requires two CR2 batteries (available as an option).
Condition notes
The camera and lens are in very good cosmetic condition (see photos). We tested the camera and all its modes with batteries and film installed (we did not process the film) and everything is working correctly. The shutter is firing at all speeds with very good accuracy, except the rarely used 1/2000 is a bit slow. Our testing confirmed the camera's auto-exposure accuracy is excellent. The included lens is in very good condition as well.
