Pentax Espio 838 35mm camera (serial 4517396)

The Pentax Espio 838 (also called the IQZoom 80E) is one of the less common models in the superb Espio/IQZoom line of compact 35mm point-and-shoot cameras. It features a 38-80mm lens that's unusually sharp for a compact zoom.

Though the Espio 838 can be used as an 'auto everything' point-and-shoot, it also includes a number of creative shooting modes (including a very useful 'flash plus bulb exposure' mode). 

The camera requires a CR123 lithium battery (optional). The original manual in French is included. 

Condition notes
The camera was tested with a battery and film installed and all functions are working well (we didn't develop the film). We verified the film plane focus accuracy on an autocollimator and we also verified the camera's autoexposure accuracy using a calibrated light source and shutter tester. The camera is in very good cosmetic condition (see photos).
