The Bolex 18-5 is a smooth operating and easy-to-thread 8mm projector built with Swiss precision. Though not quite as nice as the legendary Bolex M8 it replaced, the 18-5 is a very reliable and compact projector.

Note: this projector is for regular 8mm movies (aka regular 8 or double 8mm) and not Super 8!

Condition notes
The projector is in excellent running condition with a working lamp. As is typical with this era of Bolex projector, the name plate is missing on the front (in a weird design judgement lapse, Bolex used glue rather than rivets to attach the logo plate). The power inlet had a slight amount of 'give' so we reinforced it with marine-grade silicone (see photo), it's very sturdy now. The original power cord is missing so we're including an IEC cord that fits and works well (see the 6th and 7th photos).

Includes

  • IEC power cord (not the original but works well)
  • a working CXR lamp
  • 20mm f1.3 Bolex "Hi-Fi" lens (made in Switzerland)

Options
If you choose '+ takeup reel', a metal 400' take-up reel will be included.
