The Olympus Infinity Stylus Epic Zoom 170 Deluxe (called the mju II Zoom 170 in some countries) is a high quality 35mm point-and-shoot camera from the early 2000s. Here's how the camera was described in Olympus' 2004 catalog:

"The most potent and full-featured Stylus model yet, the Stylus Epic Zoom 170 packs a powerful - the most powerful and longest zoom lens in the Stylus family - 4.5x zoom lens with 170mm telephoto capability to make distant subjects seem close enough to touch. An Extra-Low Dispersion (ED) glass lens element is included to reduce color aberration (which is very important at 170mm telephoto range) along with two aspherical lens elements to help provide crisp, high-contrast images.."

The 'Deluxe' designation means this camera adds gold coloured accents, a panorama mode, and a handy feature called the Visual Confirmation Finder. Here's how the last feature was described by the company:

"Have you ever been unsure whether you took a picture or not? You saw a great photo opportunity, thought you pressed down on the shutter button, but wasn't really sure if you did or not. Well worry no more. Olympus' exclusive Visual Confirmation Finder (VF) momentarily darkens the lens (as seen through the viewfinder) once the shutter button is pressed, clearly indicating to you that your photo was taken so you'll know you got the shot you wanted when you wanted it."

Battery information

This camera requires a CR123 battery (optional). The manual estimates a battery will last for 15 24-exposure rolls of film.
