Olympus Infinity SuperZoom 300 35mm film camera (serial 2011448)

First released in 1988, the Olympus Infinity SuperZoom 300 (also sold as the SuperZoom AZ-300) is one of the original 'bridge cameras' combining point-and-shoot ease of use with the lens quality and many of the advanced features typically found in SLRs.

We're big fans of this camera and highly recommend it for people who want a point-and-shoot for creative film photography (and don't mind its size). It offers uncommon but very useful features like double exposure and spot metering. We recommend checking the manual (which is very readable and well organized) for ideas on how to use its features.

Battery info

The camera requires two CR123A lithium batteries for power (available as an add-on).

Estimated battery life (according to Olympus): 30 24-exposure film rolls assuming flash is used for half of photos. Battery life is lower in cold weather. 

Condition notes 

This camera was tested with a battery and film roll installed (the film was not developed) and all functions are working perfectly. The camera is in good condition with some cosmetic wear (see photos) and a somewhat dusty viewfinder (this doesn't affect photos). We verified the film plane focus accuracy on an autocollimator (it showed excellent sharpness for a zoom point-and-shoot) and its autoexposure accuracy (also very good).
