Nikon FE10 35mm film SLR camera w/ Zoom-Nikkor 35-70mm lens + ever-ready case (serial 2001252)
Nikon FE10 35mm film SLR camera w/ Zoom-Nikkor 35-70mm lens + ever-ready case (serial 2001252)
The circa 1996 Nikon FE10 was one of the last manual focus 35mm film cameras the company ever made. When new, this lightweight-yet-capable camera received some vitriol from old guard Nikon-heads (and chiropractors) who felt a 'proper' SLR should feel like a small boat anchor around the neck. In reality, the FE10 might not be as bulletproof as all-metal Nikons, but it's a reliable, thoughtfully designed camera with many handy features and an accurate light meter and shutter.
The included lens is a very compact and flexible Zoom-Nikkor 35-70mm f/3.5-4.8.
Battery info
The Nikon FE10 requires two 357 silver oxide batteries (optional). Alternatively, it will work with two alkaline LR44 batteries or a single lithium 1/3N cell.
Condition notes
This camera (serial number 2001252) and lens are in excellent cosmetic and working condition (see photos). We tested its shutter speeds, light meter, and auto-exposure accuracy and performed superbly in all areas. Like most other mid-1990s Nikon SLRs, this camera originally had a sort of 'grip' coating; we felt it necessary to clean this off as it got sticky with age. Its absence isn't noticeable in our opinion.
