The circa 1990 Minolta X-9 was the company's last new SR-mount camera design. (This incredibly successful series began in 1958 with the original Minolta SR). The X-9 is a very lightweight and easy-to-use SLR yet well-equipped with features. It's very similar to the earlier X-370n but adds a few refinements, including a very bright accute-matte focusing screen (with with diagonal split-image and microprism focus aids) and depth-of-field preview function. The original ever-ready case is included.

The camera requires two 357 silver oxide (available as an option) or LR44 alkaline batteries.

Here's the description of the camera from its manual:

Your Minolta X-9 is an easy-to-use microcomputerized single-lens-reflex (SLR) camera with quartz control of mechanical sequences and shutter, speed, providing-lasting accuracy and years of enjoyment.
In its aperture-priority auto-exposure (AE) mode ("AUTO" on the camera), the X-9 automatically sets the precise shutter speed, according to the in-camera meter for correct exposure, at the aperture you selected An AE lock can be used to hold a meter reading and then readjust the framing before releasing the shutter. Auto control is maintained even when using mirror lenses and close-up accessories such as bellows—not possible with shutter-priority AE systems
Creative flexibility exists in the X-9's match-LED/full-metered manual mode: For correct exposure at the metered value, simply adjust aperture and/or shutter speed to align blinking and glowing LEDs in the viewfinder. Or you can also merely refer to these LEDs—or totally disregard them—when making your own settings.
Flash photography is also simple: just attach a Minolta X-series Auto Electroflash, adjust aperture, and shoot. Flash-ready single is given in the viewfinder, and the shutter is automatically set for proper sync, at 1 /60 sec.
The X-9 can be used with Minolta's wide range of accessories, such as wide-angle, telephoto, and zoom lenses, Motor Drive 1, Auto Winder G, and much more.

Condition notes
This camera is in very good aesthetic and functional condition. The included Minolta MD 50mm f1.7 lens is also in very good condition (see photos). The camera and lens were tested with film and delivered sharp, correctly exposed photos. We tested the shutter and its speeds are very accurate.

Options
If you choose '+ batteries', a pair of 357 silver oxide batteries will be installed; if you pick '+ batteries & film', a 24-exposure roll of Fujicolor 200 film will also be included.
