Minolta Maxxum 70 35mm film SLR w/ 50mm f1.7 lens (serial 42311876)
Minolta Maxxum 70 35mm film SLR w/ 50mm f1.7 lens (serial 42311876)
Note: This camera has two streaks of discolouration on the left and right sides of its viewfinder. This is a common cosmetic flaw with later Minolta SLRs due to their pentamirrors. It doesn't affect photos or camera functionality.
The circa-2004 Minolta Maxxum 70 was the very last 35mm SLR ever made by this storied company. And we love it. It's lightweight, easy-to-use, and full of advanced features if you choose to explore deeper. The Maxxum 70 is very similar to the earlier Maxxum 5 but with refined controls (notable a mode dial) and ergonomics.
The included lens is the well-regarded Maxxum AF 50mm f1.7.
Battery info
This camera requires two CR2 lithium batteries (available as an add-on).
Condition notes
The camera was tested with a shutter analyzer and calibrated light source and all shutter speeds and auto exposure settings are working with very good accuracy. The camera was tested with a battery and film installed and (apart from the cosmetic issue of a viewfinder mentioned about) all functions are working correctly. The camera and lens are in good cosmetic condition (see photos).
