Note: We re-calibrated the camera's light meter to use easy-to-find 357/SR44 silver oxide batteries and a spacer. This camera originally used RM-640 mercury batteries which are no longer available.

The Minolta Hi-Matic F is a lightweight and very compact 35mm rangefinder from the 1970s. It's nearly as easy to use as a point-and-shoot but, in our experience, will give you a higher percentage of good photos (a rangefinder can't be 'fooled' like a point-and-shoot's autofocus).

The included Minolta 20 flash (guide no 20 meter/32 feet at ISO 100) is the perfect size for this camera. It includes a case with attaches to the Hi-Matic F's strap. The camera's flash mode is very clever and easy to use: when the flash is attached, the aperture is automatically adjusted based on the distance of the subject (see the manual linked below for more info).

This Hi-Matic F requires two 357 silver oxide batteries (optional) and the Minolta 20 flash requires two AA batteries (not included).

Condition notes

This camera and flash were film-tested and gave sharp, correctly exposed photos. The camera is in excellent functional and cosmetic condition (see photos). The camera's case and the flash's case are included.
