Konica Z-Up 80e compact 35mm camera (serial 6692987)
Konica Z-Up 80e compact 35mm camera (serial 6692987)
The 80e is part of the very underrated Konica Z-Up series of 90s 35mm point-and-shoot cameras. It's a very compact design with a generous 35-80mm zoom range. It features the following modes: full auto; flash cancel; night mode; fill flash; red-eye reduction; self-timer; close-up; infinity focus; and group portrait (we can't quite figure out what the last one does).
This is the version of the 80e with optional date imprinting feature. Unlike most point-and-shoots of its era with this feature, its calendar is supports the current year (see the photo of the back of the camera) and dates well into the future.
Battery information
This camera requires a CR2 lithium battery (available as an option).
Condition notes
The camera was tested with a battery and film installed and performed well (the film was not developed). We verified the camera's focus accuracy on an autocollimator; it shows excellent resolving power for a zoom point-and-shoot. The camera's body does show some cosmetic wear, most notably a hairline crack on the front of the camera's body and some of the lettering being worn off (see photos). These cosmetic issues do not affect the camera's functionality.
