The Kodak Star 1035ZD is a 35mm camera featuring a 38-60mm Ektanar zoom lens. This is one of the higher quality models in Kodak's 'Star' line of the early to mid 1990s.

There's very little information about the Star 1035ZD on the internet nor could we find its manual but this is a very easy camera to use.

We found an old advertisement that stated the camera's specifications as: 38-60mm (f4.3-6.4) lens; autofocus from 60cm to infinity; shutter speeds from 1/40 to 1/500; and the DX film metering range from ISO 25-3200. We can't be 100% certain these specifications are accurate. We also found that its original list price in 1994 was $219.95USD and it was the most expensive compact camera in the company's lineup.

This is the version of the camera with an optional date/time imprinting option (other other version is called the Star 1035Z). We installed a new lithium coin cell for this feature but unfortunately the calendar only goes up to 2019; however, it's still useful for adding time stamps to photos. Date/Time imprinting is turned off by default.

Battery info

This camera requires one CR123 (available as an option).

Condition notes

The camera was tested with batteries and film installed and all functions are working correctly (the film was not developed however). We verified the camera's film plane focus accuracy (the lens is very sharp for a zoom point-and-shoot).
