Eumig Sound 30XL Super 8 movie camera w/ original box + accessories

This Eumig Sound 30XL is a quality Super 8 movie camera featuring a fast and easy to focus Vario-Viennon f: 1.3 \ F: 8.5-24mm with smooth motorized zooming. The camera offers both auto and manual exposure modes.

Film type

Super 8 film cartridges, silent or sound. Auto metering for 25/40 and 100/160 ASA only (daylight/tungsten). Note: Sound-type film is no longer available, but this camera works perfectly with normal (silent) Super 8 cartridges. 

The camera should give good results in automatic exposure mode with any presently available Super 8 stock except for Kodak Vision 3 500T (which is outside of its metering range; use manual exposure and an external light meter for this film). 

Battery info

This camera requires 6 AA batteries (not included). The batteries power both the film transport and light meter so not special batteries are required.

Usage note: There is some current draw whenever the camera is switched on, so to preserve battery life, it is best to switch the camera off when not shooting.

Condition notes

The camera was tested with a film cartridge (though the film was not developed), the film transport is working smoothly both speeds and the light meter is functioning correctly. The camera is in excellent cosmetic condition except the rubber decorator around the lens focus ring has come unglued (it's included in the box should you wish to glue it back on, we actually prefer it off). We weren't able to test the microphone and earpiece.
