The Canon Sprint is a very compact, simple and good quality 35mm camera from 1985. It was called the Autoboy Lite in Japan and the AF35J in other countries. It requires 2 AAA batteries (not included).

Here's the description from the Canon Museum:

"Fully automatic 35mm camera using a near-infrared beam for autofocusing. Manual focusing of close-up subjects as near as 45 cm is also possible. The viewfinder displays information such as parallax correction marks for close-ups.
The exposure and aperture are controlled electronically with a program. There is no self-timer. The camera came in two colors: Black and red."

We found it a very fun and easy camera to use and we really liked the lens quality and autofocus accuracy (tip: a half press of the shutter locks the focus if you want you subject off-center). We particularly liked the fact the flash would not fire unless you purposely turned it on. The use of AAA batteries has pros and cons; the good thing is that the camera is unusually small and light, the negative is that the flash recycle time is 8 seconds. To clarify the Canon Museum description, the macro mode sets a fixed focus distance of 45cm. It's a good idea to cut a piece of string 45cm long to use a tape measure if you plan on taking a lot of macro shots.

Options
If you choose '+ film', a 24-exposure roll of Fujicolor 200 film will be included.

Condition notes
We film tested this camera using Fomapan 100 black and white. It delivered sharp, well exposed images. All features are working correctly. The camera is in very good aesthetic condition (see photos).
