The Canon Powershot G2, from 2001, was an early prosumer digicam. Although its native resolution of 4 megapixels is quite small by today's standards, its superb and fast lens (34-102mm f2-2.4; 35mm equivalent) and CCD sensor quality give it better overall image quality than many later digicams with much larger megapixel counts, especially when using the camera's RAW files (see example images below).

The G2 features a more sophisticated shutter than most digicams and a hot-shoe which permits the use of large speedlights or off-camera strobes (it's worth mentioning that the built-in flash is quite powerful for digicam).

Condition notes

We tested this camera and it is working correctly. It is in good condition except for a cosmetic issue where part of the plastic on the memory card door chipped off (this doesn't affect the camera's functionality; see photo of the back of the camera to see this).
