S+L Anorak jacket
S+L Anorak jacket
Pale grey-blue popover anorak shell jacket with many pockets and zips for your next hike. An original Gorp-core specimen, most likely late 80s/early 90s. Throw it over a fleece or a sweater; stuff the pockets with extra film and snacks.
The material tag is long gone, but the fabric is a matte weave twill, most likely a poly/cotton blend.
There are two front pockets with velcro enclosures, as well as zipped pockets on the lower sleeves. There are zippers along the armpits for ventilation and a drawstring waist.
The label is S+L, and includes a Canadian and American flag. The sleeve has a faded logo that says "Original S+L Anorak." There is no information about the company online, but I imagine it was one of a handful of Canadian outdoor gear companies making similar jackets from the 70s-90s (such as Audvik, Kanuk, Chlorophylle, etc.)
