The Ricoh XR-500 (called the KR-5 in some countries) is a simple 35mm SLR from the late 1970s. The included lens is a fast and sharp Auto Sears MC 50mm f1.7 (which was actually made by Ricoh). The camera uses the same lens mount (K-mount) as Pentax cameras like the K1000 and ME and it's a good alternative to these better known cameras.
This camera requires two 357 silver oxide batteries for operation (optional).
Condition notes The camera and included lens are in very good condition. We tested this camera and lens combo with film and it delivered correctly exposed and sharp images. The only noteworthy flaw is that the viewfinder is somewhat dusty (this doesn't affect photos). We confirmed its shutter speeds to be accurate with a shutter tester. The original ever-ready case is included (in somewhat worn but very usable condition, see photos).
