Olympus 35 ECR rangefinder 35mm camera with original box and case

The Olympus 35 ECR is one of the smallest rangefinder cameras we've ever used. This camera offers fully automatic exposure camera (you can use the film speed ring for backlight compensation though) with a very short 15 degree throw (favored by street photographers who need to work quickly). It features a sharp 42mm f2.8 E. Zuiko lens made up of 5 elements in 4 groups.

The camera originally called for two RM-640 mercury batteries; we tested with 675 zinc air cells (with tin foil filling the extra space) and got very good results. The only issues we encountered with the smaller batteries is that the indicator lights only illuminate briefly and extra long exposures (1-4 seconds) aren't possible due to the lower current. We recommend using PX640 alkaline batteries if these features are important to you.

Condition notes
The camera was tested with film and delivered sharp, well-exposed images. We also verified focus accuracy on an autocollimator. It is in very good aesthetic condition as well. The original box and leatherette case are included.

Add-ons
+ film = a 24-exposure roll of Fujicolor 200 film.
