The Minolta Freedom III (sold as the AF-Z or MAC-7 in other countries) was the top model in the company's Freedom line. It's a sleek and easy-to-use camera. It features an excellent 35mm f/2.8 lens (4 elements in 4 groups).

This camera requires either a CRP2 lithium battery (available as an option) or 4 ordinary AAA batteries (not included). In our tests we found the AAA batteries took slightly longer for the flash to recharge than the lithium battery.

Condition notes
We film tested this camera and it delivered sharp, correctly exposed images. The camera is in overall very good cosmetic condition except there is some cracking on the rubber grip (very typical for Minolta cameras from the late 1980s). We patched a spot where the rubber was missing with epoxy and matte black lacquer.
