The Fuji DL-200 is an excellent quality point-and-shoot 35mm film camera featuring a sharp and wide 32mm f2.8 lens. However, some design eccentricities mean that it's a good choice for some but a poor choice for others. To start, it uses a soldered-in-place pair of 6 volt lithium CR123A batteries for power; it wasn't designed to be user-replaceable (but it's a pretty straightforward job if you do know how to solder). That said, two CR123As provide a lot of power and Fuji estimates approximately it should take 1000 photos (assuming the flash is used half the time) or 8 years of typical use before the batteries die. The other major quirk is that the camera is annoyingly slow to 'wake up' (charge its capacitors), particularly in low light. When the cover is first opened it can take a full 20 seconds for the camera to be ready to shoot. We got around that issue by opening the camera and 'waking it up' ahead of time; we also found the wakeup time was much quicker in daylight conditions.

If these quirks don't bother you, you get a camera that rivals the best of the 1980s point-and-shoots for optical performance. We film tested this camera and we found its performance was superb.

Condition notes
This camera is in very good condition. We soldered in two new CR123A lithium batteries and only used them for one 24 exposure test roll. The photos in our test were sharp and correctly exposed.
