Note: There is a quirk with the shutter speed dial where the actual 1/250 shutter speed is the click stop between 1/125 and 1/250.

The Vivitar VX-5 is a simple and reliable mechanical camera from the 1980s that's compatible with Pentax K-mount lenses. Feature-wise it's comparable to the Pentax K-1000 (which also uses K-mount lenses).  The included lens is a Sears multi-coated 135mm f2.8 which works very well for portraits.

Condition notes
The camera was tested with film and gave sharp, well-exposed photos. As mentioned above there's a quirk with the shutter speed dial where the actual 1/250 shutter speed is the click stop between 1/125 and 1/250. We put a sticker on the bottom of the camera to remind you (easily removable).

The camera is in good cosmetic condition (see photos) with the most noteworthy flaw being that the plastic decorator for the self-timer is missing (the self-timer still works). There is some dust in the viewfinder (does not affect photos) and also some dust in the included lens which in our tests didn't seem to affect the sharpness or contrast of the images.

Options
If you choose '+ batteries', two 357 silver oxide batteries will be installed; if you choose '+ batteries & film' you'll also get a 24-exposure roll of Fujicolor 200 film.
