The Vivitar VP4000 is a compact autofocus 35mm film point-and-shoot from the 1990s. This is a very simple camera but it's solidly built.
Multi-zone infrared autofocus
Focus lock (allows for off-centre subjects to be in focus)
Motorized advance and rewind.
Auto flash: the flash automatically fires when the light is low
DX code reading for automatically setting film speed.
This camera requires two AA batteries (not included).
Condition notes The camera is in good cosmetic (see photos) and functional condition. The only noteworthy flaw is that the sticker listing its features is worn (you can of course just peel it off which Vivitar probably expected the owner to do). In addition we tested the cameras film plane focus accuracy on an autocollimator.
